If you got a call from your competitor offering his business, what would you do?
If I got a call from my competitor offering his business, I would be curious to know what they have to offer. Does he have the specific talent and skills that I need? Is he seeking to leave his current position? If so, this may be a better option for him than for me. I might see if there is something I can learn about how he does digital marketing or search engine optimization to improve my own company's efforts. It's always great when you can get tips from others who are at your level or higher.
Can you tell me about the biggest mistake you've made professionally?
The biggest mistake I've made professionally is not promoting the release of a blog post that got significant traction on social media. When we looked at the analytics, no one found it because I forgot to promote it. The lesson learned was make sure you promote your content when you think it's going to do well!
How do you handle your stress?
I handle my stress by staying active, meditating, and keeping my eyes on the prize. All that stress is no good for your physical and mental health so you have to find a way to relieve it. I just try to be intentional about practicing self-care techniques and making sure I'm drinking enough water. It's also important to remember that being stressed out is a natural reaction so don't beat yourself up about it!
What does leadership mean to you?
To me, leadership means someone who is a visionary. They have the ability to set their visions as goals for their team to work towards. By developing a clear picture of what they want to accomplish, and then telling their team about it and why it's important, leaders are able to motivate others and foster growth by giving them something concrete to look forward to.
Do you consider yourself successful? Why or why not?
One of the major points I get asked about when interviewing for positions is, Do you consider yourself successful? Of course I do. However, I sometimes feel like a different level of success from my previous positions. One time this was discussed as well as why some people might not be as successful as they had hoped to be was at one of my interviews. I feel like one thing is to have plenty of experience under your belt and the other is to have the most recent experience that ties you into trends happening today.
Tell me about yourself.
My name is Andrew and I am very interested in digital marketing. My goal is to focus on search engine optimization and lead generation. The reason I am so interested in these fields is because there is a lot of potential to expand one's skill set. At this time, I have interned at a digital marketing agency where I was able to make a lot of different contacts as well as to learn the ropes when it comes to marketing.
I am currently enrolled at Bakersfield College majoring in business administration.

I know that many companies are looking for someone who can be hands-on and will dive into the details to execute their vision flawlessly, so this skill is one that I use often.
